Report Card: Wild Thing

I took the quilt top to Whatever yesterday. Below are the comments I received. We had small group because of illness. I wish I could depict the vocal inflections that accompanied these. Videos would be even better, but I didn't take it to heart. I enjoyed putting it together.

It goes.-meaning the colors went together
That's nice.
It's okay.
You know I like bright things.- this from my mother-in-law and she really does.

So funny! I think the older I get, the brighter my color choices are too!

I'm glad you were able to keep your sense of humor and not take the comments to heart. And it gave you something fun to blog about! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you're happy and satisfied with it as an artist, that's what counts most. To my eye, it's wonderful!

In my experience, there's nothin' like a bunch of Church Ladies to hail on one's imaginative and creative parade. I'm glad you didn't get your feelings hurt! God created bright bluebirds and flashy cardinals and gaudy Baltimore orioles as well as pale sweetpeas!
