Spring?

We didn't get as much snow as predicted, which was a disappointment as we really need the moisture. The storm slipped south of us and gave them 12 inches of snow. It did give the kids a snow day and made travel less hazardous for those who had to go to work. I procrastinated all day about going outside, but the poor dog needed his supper and a run. The wind blew so hard, there are drifts and then places without any snow. I took this picture on the sheltered side of my garage. Maybe these daffodils will survive when it's 40 degrees tomorrow.

Really unusual to see the flowers in the snow! Wish you had gotten more moisture but at least travel is not quite as hazardous. I know you dreaded getting out with the dog in that wind. Let us know what tomorrow brings!

Snow on the Daffodils-thats not how it's supposed to be :)

After spring like weather, we got hit with a cold front here in northeast Texas, too, though no snow, of course. Yesterday was cold and blustery. I seized the moment for one last pot of beef/veggie stew to enjoy. Once warm weather arrives here, no one's in the mood for hot soups.

Today, it's simply gorgeous outside. The sun is shining, the sky is bright blue, and I foresee some yard work in my immediate future. ;-)

I have some daffodils that are blooming, too. They're pretty hardy plants. Hope they make it.

It's that time of year when the weather can't make up it's mind whether it's winter or spring. Yesterday, it felt like spring had truly arrived here. We even had a couple of thunder showers. Today it's quite chilly again. Oh, well!
