Friday My Town Shoot Out: Outside Food

Oh, this was perfect timing. My family was here this week and we went to the Tri-State Antique Engine & Threshers Show at Bird City, Kansas. The first few pictures show the kitchen on the show grounds and the line going in to pick up our food to eat "outdoors"

Grandson Riley

Brother-in-law

Son and grandaugher, Verity

Yum! Ribs from the grocery store.

Warming the ribs and grilling the veggies at home. Never mind that he's using my salad tongs.

I'll say this subject was perfect timing for you! Oh, you have made me so hungry. Brings back memories from long ago. The grands look so sweet. I love Riley's tiny overalls! Hope you have a good weekend.

It's fun to see that Sloppy Joes and pie are still on the menu just as they were when I was a kid and used to go the the thresher's show with my dad. Looks like the prices of many of the menu items have been changed in the last year or two. Wonder if they've gone up or down. Prices don't usually go down, do they?

It all looks yummy! I love fairs and special events: they get me an opportunity to splurge on "uncommon" foods.

Isn't Riley so cute with the popcorn.

Loved the Candy Wagon too!

Great shots.

I cannot believe the prices of the show food - super cheap! Cute pictures of the kids & cotton candy. I really like the little engineer!

Great pics, Mary. Looks like you all had a great time. The weather wasn't so miserably hot, either, this year. That makes it even nicer.
