Zooming in

I zoomed out as far as the camera would go to get this.



When I tried to get closer, he took to the sky,



circled around to taunt me,



and flew away.

Love the sequence of the photos. And the placemat below looks pretty-how amazing weaving is-makes me wish I could do it.

Fun photos of a beautiful hawk. Really makes me miss KS. It's always frustrating for me to get good photos of birds too. Really need a powerful zoom for that.

Beautiful pictures Mary. I keep binoculars near the window and am always amazed at the markings on the hawks.

Gigantic bird! What kind of hawk is it?
At first I thought "turkey vulture" because of the size!

Great job of capturing this hawk... I'm always trying, we have so many of them around here. But they're elusive and I have yet to get a good photo!

Beautiful shots. I so miss the hawks from the Ozarks. They were absolutely breathtaking as are your pictures.
