Not Just a Redneck

After doing the Friday My Town Shoot Out this week, I realized that all my yard pictures made me look like a Jeff Foxworthy relative. Really, I have a couple of normal things. My husband built this pergola for our 25th anniversary. Poor guy, he didn't even know what one was, but I described it and he built it. He did say that I was watching too much HGTV. The chairs were purchased at a yard sale long ago. I used to paint them every year, but I've fallen behind. I hung the windsocks up this year after I found them in the garage. We used to have a place at the lake when the kids were small. We always hung these on the deck to make it known we were in residence.

My old metal lawn chairs don't get much use, but they are a bright spot near the back door of the garage.

Your husband did a great job on the pergola. HGTV has made my wish list longer too!!!
The metal chairs you show are similar to ones we had but ours were a bright yellow. I remember how cool the chairs felt on my legs when I was a kid wearing shorts!

The pergola is beautiful, and the wind socks look great hanging from it. You obviously have an eye for bright, vivid colors. The blue and the red chairs really brighten things up!

I love your chairs that need repainted, but I love them with the peeling paint - they look so rustic and homey that way! And we both have the metal chairs, mine aqua and yours red. I love those old-timey chairs.

Your pergola is gorgeous, esp with the windsocks hanging there for a punch of color.

Oh I love those red metal chairs, I had a red one once and two greens and a yellow..I miss them. What great spots of color they were. I have not seen your Jeff Foxworthy typepost yet but am going back now to look! :)

You are a hoot and a hollar! I am from Texas, and did not see one thing that made you look like a redneck silly! Love the chairs, I miss my grandparents set that rocked back and forth, and squeaked sometimes :)

The pergola is lovely and the red chairs are fantastic but what's so bad about looking like a redneck. We're definitely Jeff Foxworthy decor here :-)
