Shoe Shopping

It's a good thing that I have grandchildren. I don't have to look far for a little humor. We made a trip to Famous Footwear (it's that or Walmart) looking for new shoes for Riley. He wanted the plastic shoes shaped like a tow truck. Mom nixed that, so he went looking for something with a little more flash. I think I'll frame this for his 14th birthday.

Riley is the cutest little fellow. I love the way he's pointing at the shoe, to make sure we see it. Adorable.

What a sweet photo! It's fun seeing life through the eyes of a child.

He is showing off that shoe better than a run way model! :)

What a cute photo. I'm sure Riley will appreciate it when he's older. LOL High heels are a silly and painful form of foot wear. I haven't worn them in years and don't intend to ever wear them again. Oprah said today that she had to hand it to Michelle Obama for wearing high heels all day yesterday and even getting out of the limo to walk in them for several blocks. I say Michelle should have made a real fashion statement on behalf of women around the world and worn flats. Now that would have brought real change to the world's women. A few weeks ago, I heard Dr. Oz (I think it was Dr. Oz) say high heels often cause serious medical problems for women that are totally preventable by wearing more comfortable and sensible shoes. Foot binding was once practiced in China. Today we look on foot binding as an abusive practice. Why do women voluntarily impose crippling shoes on themselves today?
