Disappointment
I received a call from my son, Matt, this evening. They were buying a different house contingent on the sale of theirs. Everything had been a go and they were set to close in less than two weeks, then the buyers of their house had their credit rating drop 40 points and lost their financing. I know my daughter-in-law, Christina, is so disappointed. She always has so much enthusiasm and was so excited about getting a home with room to grow and in the community where they do their shopping and go to church. When things don't go my way, she always reminds me that God is in control. I truly believe He has a plan that is better for them. Please pray that they have peace with this and his will becomes known to them. I know it's not a life or death matter, but it really is important to them.

I will certainly remember them in prayer.
I will pray that God reveals Himself to them in the midst of this, that they will look to Him as author and finisher of their fath, fixing their eyes upon Him, and not their circumstances.
I can feel for them, the same thing happened to my Son 3 years ago, but they had already found a house and signed for it on the grounds the other house was sold, they had even recieved earnest money on the other house. What a bummer, they had to pay 2 house notes for 2 month's, but luckly it was right after Katrina and they had another buyer 2 mos later. Folks trying to get away from New Orleans for good.
I pray God will be with them as he was with my son.

Thanks for the shout-out and the prayers. Jeremiah 29:11, man. Jer. 29:11...
I'm sorry-and will for sure say a prayer for them both!
